Obituary for Barbara L. "Bobbie" Moore (Travis)
East Liverpool, Ohio – Barbara L. “Bobbie” Moore, 86, of East Liverpool passed away Thursday, February 14, 2019 at her home following a brief illness.
Bobbie was born in East Liverpool on January 9, 1933 a daughter of the late Gale and Viva DeBee Travis. She was raised in Wellsville and was a graduate of Wellsville High School class of 1951. Bobbie worked at Community Action Agency in Lisbon as a receptionist until her retirement in November 2017. Bobbie loved roller skating, ice skating and riding her motorcycle in her earlier years. In more recent years she loved nothing more than spending time with her growing family and her loyal canine companion Casey.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her great grandson Casyn James Carr on February 14, 2018.
Surviving are her daughter Christy (Ralph) Carr of East Liverpool; two sons Randy Moore of East Liverpool and Kip Moore of Washington, MO; ten grandchildren Randy Moore, Jr., Marc (Tiffany) Moore, Timothy (Amber) McGeehan, Emily Moore, Brandon (Kayla) Carr, Cory (Aleasha) Carr, Kristopher Carr, Connie (Jeff) Dotson, Dina Carr and Tina Carr; ten great grandchildren Jackson Liermann, Reed McGeehan, Timmy “Timmers” McGeehan, Adalynn “Addy” Carr, Hannah Moore, Marc Moore, Jr., Nicholas (Jean) Emia, Alaya Carr, Jaidyn Jeffers and Jameson Moore; brother John Travis of Johnson City, TX and two sisters Pat Ewing of Yuma, AZ and Ann Barcus of Pismo Beach, CA.
Friends may visit Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Marc Moore, her grandson, will conduct a celebration of life service Monday 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
