Obituary for Donald Keith Foster Sr.

Donald Keith Foster, 86

CALCUTTA- Donald Keith Foster, Sr., of State Route 7, Lisbon, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the Calcutta Health Care Center. He was 86.

Born in East Liverpool, September 7, 1932, he was a son of the late George W. and Edna Walton Foster. A resident of this area all his life, he worked at the former International Mill Service in Midland for 35 ½ years until retiring in 1998.

A Korean War Veteran, he was a Captain in the U.S. Army. A member of the Calcutta Church of the Nazarene, he was active in its Sunday school and the Hilltoppers Seniors.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ann Pelley Foster, at home. The couple married May 14, 1955. There are two daughters, Tamara Reiss and her husband, Gary, of Pataskala, Ohio, and Delda Lauffenburger and her husband, Kelly, of Olathe, Kansas, and three sons, Donald K. Foster and his wife, Pam, of Lisbon, Dean Foster of New Waterford, and Ron Foster and his wife, Connie, of Lisbon.

He also leaves ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

A sister survives as well, Gloria Brown of East Liverpool.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Dean Foster, Jr., three brothers: George “Bud” Foster, David “Sonny” Foster and Lyle Foster, and four sisters: Betty Owen, Barbara Myers, Shirley Myers and Eileen Portsmann.

Friends may visit Sunday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Gary Reiss, son-in-law, will conduct a funeral service Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
