Obituary for Earl Dean Haney

Youngstown, Ohio – Earl Dean Haney, 90, of East Liverpool, Ohio passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at Select Specialty Hospital in Youngstown following a lengthy illness.

Earl was born January 9, 1928 in East Liverpool, Ohio a son of the late Arthur and Minnie Singer Haney. He graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1946 where he played football.

Earl was a disabled veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served as a fireman apprentice. He was a millwright at Crucible Steel until his retirement in 1983 then moved to Hudson, Florida where enjoyed riding his bicycle.

In addition to his parents Earl was preceded in death by his son David Haney.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, whom he married May 20, 1963, Deanna (Crabtree) Haney; two daughters Kathy (Mike) Fairhurst of Cuyahoga Falls and Sandra (John) Manotti of Deltona, FL; son Michael Haney of New Port Richey, FL; four grandchildren Lindsay (Patrick) Fairhurst, Jonathan Manotti, Christopher (Aurora) Manotti and Shane Haney; great grandson Landon Fairhurst and sister Pam (Roger) Jones of North Carolina.

A private service was held at the Dawson Funeral Home, 215 West Fifth Street, East Liverpool.
