EAST LIVERPOOL – Loretta M. Falkner, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, February 4, 2019 at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness. She was 87.
Born in East Palestine, February 23, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Irene Warner Dugan. A resident of this area all her life, she attended East Palestine High School and was a member of the Rogers United Methodist Church.
Her husband, John Falkner, preceded her in death on September 4, 2008. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Faye Lako, two sons, Ed and Jerry Falkner, a grandson Brenden Falkner.
She is survived by a daughter Trudy Mitchell of California, and three sons: Gary Falkner of Erie, Pennsylvania, John Falkner of Rogers, and Raymond Falkner and his wife, Jayma, of Calcutta. There are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A sister, Janet McElhaney of Clarkson also survives.
Pastor Larry Rose of the Northside Community Church will conduct a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit Thursday from 5 p.m. up until the time of the service at the funeral home.
