Obituary for Diana M. Thompson (Carter)
Diana M. Thompson, 75
EAST LIVERPOOL – Diana M. Thompson, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Vitas Health Care Center in New Philadelphia following a lengthy illness. She was 75.
Born in East Liverpool, May 27, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Millard and Eleanor Brown Carter. A resident of this area all her life, she worked at the East Liverpool Country Club and Days Inn at one time. She was Baptist by faith.
She is survived by her husband, Michael B. Thompson, Sr., as well as five children: Michael Brian Thompson, Jr., John Neal Thompson, Sr., William Keith Thompson, Vonda Louise Thompson and Alycia Lynn Thompson. There are 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Other survivors include two sisters: Mildred Stalnaker and Cheryl Carter Reid, as well as her step-mother, Mary Carter and an aunt, Edith Dorsey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ty Anthony Thompson, a daughter, Darla Denise Thompson, a granddaughter, Jasmine A’nne’ Thompson and a grandson, John Neal Thompson, Jr.
Rev. Daniel Winston will conduct a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.
