Obituary for James H. "Gabby" Gabbert Jr.
EAST LIVERPOOL – James H. “Gabby” Gabbert, Jr., of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, June 24, 2019, at his home. He was 91.
Born on February 15, 1928, he was a son of the late James H. “Bud” Gabbert, Sr. and Eleanor Mae Stragg Gabbert.
He is survived by a son, Bruce W. Gabbert of Lisbon, as well as 7 grandchildren Anisha, Bruce James, Aaron, Amber, Missy, James and many great grandchildren. He is also survived by his longtime companion and caregiver Ilene McLean; brother William “Bill” Gabbert and his wife Emily of East Liverpool and sister Betty Bissell and her husband Dick of East Liverpool,
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son James P. Gabbert and sister, Doris Ulbright.
A private service was held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
